Alexander Monson Inquest resumes

In May 2012 Alexander Monson died from a head injury following his arrest and detention in Diani Police Station in Kenya.  The likely cause of the head injury is blunt trauma.  An inquest was commenced in April 2015 into his death and has continued sporadically since then with the Magistrate hearing evidence from a number of police officers, civilians and expert witnesses. Alexander’s parents Nicholas and Hilary have fought tirelessly to uncover the truth regarding their son’s tragic death with the assistance of Kenyan lawyers Alfred Olaba and Yusuf Aboubakar.  The inquest is due to recommence on Monday 2nd October in what is likely to be the last week of evidence and. it is hoped. followed by a verdict.

Iain Daniels has been advising and assisting the family and will be attending the inquest this coming week.
