Paul Powlesland continues successful environmental protection work

Paul Powlesland represented 4 tree protectors in the High Court last week. Sheffield City Council were seeking an extensive addition to the terms of their existing injunction to stop protest and direct action at tree felling sites. Over the course of a long day of negotiation, Paul, in conjunction with the representatives of other tree protectors, managed to agree a new injunction with a significantly altered wording that still allows effective protest against the Council’s policy of felling thousands of healthy street trees.
