Peninsula v Donaldson: Salary Sacrifice Schemes and Maternity Leave

The EAT has ruled in Peninsula Business Services Ltd v Donaldson [2016] UKEAT 0249_15_0903 that there is no obligation upon an employer to provide childcare vouchers that are ordinarily provided under a ‘salary sacrifice’ scheme to a participating employee during a period of maternity leave.
