Two new appointments in Chambers

Chambers is pleased to announce that as of the 1st May 2018 Michael Salter has been appointed to the Bar Standards Board’s Disciplinary committee. The appointment strengthens Michael’s portfolio of roles in regulatory regimes and adds to Chambers’ depth in professional regulation.

Michael has also been appointed by the Lord Chancellor as an Examiner of the Court.  Under Civil Procedure Rules 34.8 a court may order a witness to be examined before trial about their oral or documentary evidence by deposition such as where someone is too ill to attend the trial, or where a foreign court requests evidence from a person who resides in this jurisdiction and not in the jurisdiction of the foreign court. Court Examiners, undertake these examinations. The appointment runs until 30th September 2022.
